My dinnerware is made from stoneware, a particular type of clay that is fired at approximately 2,000 degrees. No two pieces are exactly alike. It is dense, durable, non-porous and therefore food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe. It is meant to be used everyday however pottery is breakable and should be protected from shocks such as dropping and sudden changes in temperature.
