Basket, open weave

This is my favorite piece to make, maybe because it took me a long time to "get it right". I weave the basket, piece by piece. My tribe is known for weaving black ash baskets. I've figured out how to weave with clay and I like the results. The open weave is perfect for fruit on the kitchen counter or warm bread for the holiday table.
